Margarita Suarez spent her life feeding the stray dogs and cats in her neighborhood. She was a huge animal lover. Margarita passed away at the age of 71. Her funeral services were held 830 miles away from her home but still the dogs came to pay their respects. The stray dogs that wandered into the funeral home had never been seen there before and were not the ones that Margarita had taken care of near her home. But still they were there watching over Margarita as she was remembered by family and friends. dogs

fat shaming
Fat shaming doesn't work. How many times does that have to be said before people get it? Kelly Clarkson is the latest celebrity to be bashed about her weight. Who cares why, when, or how she put on weight? Unless you walk in someone else's shoes, you have no idea what's going on in their lives. Back off the bullying! Clean up your own back yard before you start peaking over someone else's fence. BMI is ONLY a relationship between your height and weight. It is NOT a barometer of health and should not be used as such. Not all thin people are healthy and not all big people are unhealthy. Stop making assumptions. bullying has to stop

Girl Crush
The song by Little Big Town "Girl Crush" is catching some heat. Some country stations are being boycotted if they continue to play the song because it promotes the gay agenda. What? What is wrong with people? It isn't doing that and even if it were, who cares. It's a great song. Some people need to get a life. inappropriate lyrics?

castle
A postman picked up rocks on his route every day. Sometimes there were so many that he started taking a wheel barrow to work with him. He decided to use the rocks to build a castle. That was back in 1879 and it took over 30 years to finish. He was able to enjoy it for 12 years before he passed away. Now it is a French Historical Monument. see the castle
FBI
When I got a degree as a Legal Secretary, I wanted to work in the steno pool with the FBI. I even interviewed with them but had to turn it down because of my family. It's quite an interesting process--they do background checks on everyone in your family. But everything happens for a reason and I ended up here where I am over the top happy!!

no orange juice
How bad is it when there is no orange juice in the house? One father decided that it was so bad that he shot his son. The two argued about the lack of orange juice and then a vase was broken. The father chased his son down the street and shot at him 3 times striking him in the buttocks. The son is going to be fine...only suffering non-life threatening injuries. And dad goes to jail. oj fight

Nazi hideout
A Nazi hideout has been found in the Argentinian jungle. Searchers found the site years ago but just recently were able to get to it. They've discovered different buildings and many WWII artifacts including German coins minted 1938 to 1944. The Nazis built hideouts just in case they were defeated which would give high ranking officials a place to go to hide. The searchers don't believe that anyone ever used the hideout. archeologist's find

opening doors
Who would've thought that holding open a door could change someone's life? After Josh's father passed away, he was having a tough time coping. He had hung pictures of his dad in his locker but they were torn down by other students. His mother decided to move him to another school in the hopes that things would change. And they did. Josh started holding open the door for other students. It helped him feel a part of things and he gained a lot of friends from such a simple gesture. He went on to be prom king and a public speaker. dogs on a plane
Virgin America Airlines has helped air lift Chihuahuas from California to New York on several occasions. There is an over abundance of the small dogs in California due to their popularity with celebrities. In New York, there are many who can give the Chihuahuas a loving home so it's a win/win situation. expensive dog house
How much is too much to pay for a dog house? Would you spend $30,000? Samsung has a dream dog house that includes a treadmill, an automated food dispenser, a hydrotherapy pool, and a Samsung entertainment center. Does a dog really need all of that? I'm thinking my dogs should be grateful that they have a large back yard in which to run. dream dog house

An abandoned dog is a hero. He has led rescuers to 10 sick newborn puppies and their mother. He barked insistently until passersby followed him to the dogs. All are resting comfortably in a shelter together. rescued puppies

Who could be so cruel?
In Tampa, FL a dog was found tied with a belt to railroad tracks and several bullets in her body. Neighbors reported hearing the gunshots and then officers followed the whimpering sound from the dog until they found her on the tracks. She's been taken to a veterinarian and should make a full recovery but may lose her front leg. It just baffles me how someone could be so evil. I hope they are caught and spend a lot of time behind bars. poor puppy
plane crash
Harrison Ford was piloting a 1942 WW2 Vintage plane when he reported engine failure just after takeoff. He was forced to make an emergency landing on a golf course. It appears that he went off course purposefully so he could avoid hitting homes in his path.
He is doing well other than some cuts to his head but should recover completely. Ford

ghost or no ghost?
Footage from 2009 taken at Disneyland after the park closed is resurfacing online. It appears to be a ghost walking about the park. Some think it may be that VHS tapes were reused and an image may be coming through from a previous recording. Whatever it is, it's very interesting to watch. ghost
