Willow Smith follows in her father's footsteps

Even though she's only 10, Willow Smith has signed a record deal with Jay-Z's record label Roc Nation. Her album is due out in March and she will be touring with Justin Bieber. He's at the top of the "fail" list for 2010--maybe it's not such a good idea for Willow to hitch a ride on that wagon. story

Ken and Barbie reunite.

Ken and Barbie first split in 2004. Barbie became an independent woman but Ken never stopped loving her. He's vowed to get her back by Valentine's day. Will it happen? Does true love triumph? Or is it a carefully orchestrated marketing strategy? Could it be their roles in 'Toy Story 3' that brought them back together? We'll just have to wait and see. Barbie and Ken

The Follies

This is a locally written show with all local actors and singers. Winona has an over-abundance of talent and it all comes together to give life to "The Topsy Turvy TV Follies." This is a fund raiser for the Winona Hospital to buy vital signs monitors. I play Grandmama (Eudora) Addams in the "family" scene and will also make an appearance as Oscar the Grouch in the "children's" portion of the program. My dance moves will be showcased during the "electric slide" and the "macarena." The performances will be held at the Winona Middle School on February 10-12. More details to follow.

Damage from smoking is within 30 minutes of first cigarette

A study has been conducted that shows damage starts almost immediately from smoking.
'Professor Stephen Hecht, from the University of Minnesota, said: "This study is unique, it is the first to investigate human metabolism of a PAH specifically delivered by inhalation in cigarette smoke, without interference by other sources of exposure such as air pollution or the diet.'
So the message is: don't start and if you have, quit as soon as possible!!!!!!

There is a pop-up park in NYC where residents can go to have a picnic or sit by the pond, relax, and listen to the birds. OpenHouse Gallery on Mulberry Street has opened the park until the end of the month. It is an oasis from all of the snow and cold. view park
