If drastic measures are not taken to save tigers, they will become extinct within 12 years according to the experts. Three species of tigers have already gone the way of the Dodo bird and the Dinosaurs. The Bali, Javan, and Caspian have all disappeared within the last 70 years leaving only 6 subspecies of tigers. Countries where tigers live will need to step up enforcement of poaching laws and preserve habitats if tigers are to survive. tigers
