After the earthquake on the east coast, a crack has been discovered in the top of the Washington Monument. This will keep the monument closed until further notice. It was a 5.8 earthquake but has only caused some structural damage. That can be fixed or replaced; lives cannot. I was visiting Virginia Beach last week. Looks like I left for home just in time. earthquake
