lava smiles

It had been reported that lava in Hawaii had reached the ocean.  Now there's a picture of a lava lake smiling.  The image shows a smiley face in the lake.  So is it smiling because it's smug or is it sending a message that says everything will be ok?  It's an interesting picture.  lava lake smile
