An owner of a restaurant in Dallas, NC has decided to take the prices off of her menu.  Instead customers are asked to pay what they think the food is worth.  It was intended to be just a promotion for a week but has now been extended because it's working so well.  no price menu

spaceship picture

In 1968 a photo was taken of the moon's surface that shows what could be a spaceship resting in a crater.  Plus there's also what appears to be a straight road just below the crater.  The picture is open for interpretation because it could be shadows creating the illusion that something is there.  spaceship

divorce

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have not been seen together in months fueling more rumors that they are headed for a divorce.  Some are saying that the legal split could happen by Christmas.  couple splitting?

HOV lanes

We don't have HOV lanes around here but there are many in bigger cities.  I've used them all over the country in my many travels.  One woman in Washington thought she would use one as well.  But without a second person in the vehicle, it is illegal to drive in those lanes.  This driver was speeding and got pulled over by a State Trooper.  What  he found in her passenger seat definitely did not qualify as a passenger.  She had a large stuffed bear strapped into the seat.  So she not only got a ticket for speeding but one for illegal use of the HOV lane as well.  Then when it was discovered that she didn't have insurance, she got another one.  That was definitely a bad day for that 19 year old.  Wonder if she learned a lesson?  bear passenger

Draven Rodriguez is a 16 year old student from Schenectady High School in New York.  He wanted something more than a boring yearbook picture.  So he started a campaign to allow him to include his rescue cat in his pic.  He had a petition signed by 7,000 students but it turned out that he didn't need it.  The Principal was more than happy to allow the picture to be included in the yearbook.  She also joined in on the fun by posing with her pet.  yearbook pic

coyote went for a ride

A driver in Waukegan, IL was sure that he had hit something on his way to work but he didn't see anything in the road so he continued on his way.  What he discovered was that he indeed did hit a coyote and the animal was wedged into the grill of his SUV.  Mark Armour called animal control which rescued the coyote.  It has three broken legs but is doing well at Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation.  It's hoped that the coyote will make a full recovery and will be released back into the wild.  coyote's ride
