who is in the picture?

A picture of a man and a woman was found in the walls of a home in Australia.  The current owner was remodeling and found the picture next to a bottle of "Charlotte" perfume.  She's now on a mission to find out who the two people are and to solve the mystery about "Charlotte."  perfume and picture

Another threatening video from isis

The Islamic state or sons of the caliphate army have posted a video threatening Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey, the heads of Facebook and Twitter.  They say that they will retaliate because both sites are taking down their accounts and any from their supporters.  Sounds to me like a desperate attempt on their part.  They will be defeated both in cyber space as well as real life.  That type of evil will always implode at some point.  Here's hoping they are taken down real soon.  threats

Blake Shelton

Blake has a running feud with the hate group that calls themselves The Westboro Baptist Church.  They have picketed his concerts because he divorced his first wife and married Miranda Lambert.  Blake tweeted that he had band and crew members that would be happy to have their wives.  So when they announced that they will be picketing his show in Kansas City, he tweeted that his band and crew members will love seeing their wives...again.  Blake's response

Is it a ghost?

A paranormal investigator claims that they have caught the image of a ghost.  While at a 15th Century building, Erica Gregory stepped outside to get some fresh air.  She snapped a picture of a tree and later discovered what appeared to be a woman peering from behind the tree.  See the picture and decide for yourself.  ghost

Star Wars

Disney revealed their plans for the new Star Wars Lands at both their California and Florida locations.  If they even come close to the artist's renditions, they will be amazing!  From the Millenium Falcon to the Cantina, the place will be brimming with Star Wars characters and scenery.  Disney hasn't said yet when the lands will be completed but when they are, I plan to visit as soon as I can.  Star Wars Lands

Apple fights the government

The Apple CEO has said that he will not comply with a judge's ruling that Apple should help open a locked phone used by one of the San Bernardino shooters.  Sides are being chosen.  Apple claims that this will open a backdoor and can be used widespread.  This will take away our safety and security with our I-phones.
Others claim that the information on that phone is crucial to know who the shooter may have contacted prior to the shootings or a possible reason for the tragedy.  It seems though that the county had access to software that would've eliminated the need for Apple to be involved at all.  If they had just installed it, this discussion wouldn't be happening now.  It will be interesting to see how this turns out.  Should Apple comply?

sister comforts brother

Twins Mason and Madilyn haven't even been born yet but a sonogram picture shows the little girl holding the hand of her dying brother.  Doctors have told their parents that Mason probably won't make it and they're at least consoled that his sister is there for him during this time.  Mason has a hole in his heart and some brain damage.  Because of this, doctors can't do surgery to save his life.  They can only wait until it's time to deliver the twins.  Mason and Madilyn

Triceratops stops traffic

Someone in Isle of Wight decided to steal a triceratops statue from a local business and leave it in the middle of the road.  A motorist was surprised to see the 25 ft. Godshilla in his path.  He snapped this picture:
When I was younger, I spent time in Rochester MN and I remember when someone took a giant lobster off of the Red Lobster billboard and left that in the middle of the road.  Unfortunately we didn't have cell phones then to take pictures. dinosaur surprise

Not welcome?

Who is Tyga anyway?  Why does he think he's so important that he can turn away Sir Paul McCartney from his party?  That's exactly what happened at Tyga's Grammy party.  McCartney, Beck, and Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters were turned away twice by the bouncer.  I can't wait to see what kind of backlash there is from this.  party crasher Tyga's response

Tesla Model S

Most won't be able to afford a Tesla but now the kids can have one.  Radio Flyer is producing a car for kids that actually drives and it looks just like the Model S.  $500 and it can be yours.  You could always park it in the garage and brag about having one.  There are two models available.  One that can go up to 3 mph and one that can go 6.  Which do you choose?  Tesla

hero dogs

Troops have relied on dogs to protect them in times of war.  When they head home, they are promised that their dogs will also be coming home.  They just have to file the paperwork to get their dogs back.  But a company called K-2 Solutions is bringing the dogs back and "dumping" them for adoption to anyone.  When the soldiers return and file the paperwork, they're being told that their dogs are gone.  The company sold them to someone else.  It's a betrayal.  Those soldiers bonded with the dogs in a more stressful atmosphere than any of us civilians will ever know.  This is outrageous!  war dogs

winter strikes

Scranton, PA gets snow and ice in the winter.  But it got so cold that a main water pipe burst and it covered everything in ice.  The pictures are pretty but the thought of waiting for that thaw is not pleasant.  So glad nothing like this has happened around here and hoping it never does.  ice covered

The Big Game

Sunday is the day when most of the country will be focused on their television sets.  The Big Game will be played.  I, however, choose to watch another Big Game on Sunday.  The Puppy Bowl airs on the Animal Planet channel at 3pm.  There will be a kitten half-time show and silkie chicken cheerleaders.

lucky or unlucky

A winning lotto ticket worth $63 million is about to expire.  California lottery officials gave warning in November that the winner had 180 days to come forward but no one has tried to claim the money yet.  By Thursday, it will be too late.  Does that make them lucky or unlucky?  lost money

K-9

An Ohio officer thought when he retired, his K-9 companion would come to live with him.  The dog was part of the family and belonged there.  However the police department had other plans.  The dog is considered property and thus has to be auctioned.  A Gofundme account was set up and so far has grown to $42,000 to help the officer buy his dog at the auction.  K-9 family member

Grease Live

I loved the movie Grease so I felt compelled to watch the live performance Sunday night.  I've been in several plays and musicals so I was watching to see how this professional cast handled the stage performance.  I was impressed with a lot of them but some fell short.  It was awesome to see the original Frenchy as the waitress, Vi, in the diner.  It was amazing to see the quick changes of sets and costumes.  The show ended at 9pm and because I don't normally stay up that late, I fell asleep before it was over.  Guess I'll have to watch it on Demand to catch the whole thing.  Overall it was worth watching.  Grease
