breaking down a wall

A man in Germany ran into a wall when he tried to leave his home.  It wasn't a wall inside the house.  No, during the night someone had walled up his front door.  He had to break it down before he could leave.  Now there's a rude awakening!  prank?

gator vs.snake

In Florida, Burmese Pythons are an invasive species.  They've begun to breed and move to all areas of the state.  Once they're in an area, they feed; so local creatures are in danger.  An alligator is usually at the top of the food chain but the squeeze of a python may be it's undoing.  A bicyclist happened upon a struggle with an alligator and a python and took video.  The alligator was the underdog in that battle.  pythons are dangerous

A jogger in Michigan discovered a box of puppies while she was out running.  Julie Newman noticed the box sitting by a tree but went to investigate when she saw it moving.  There were 19 puppies in a urine soaked box.  If they had been left to fend for themselves in the cold, they would not have survived.  Julie got help from her sister and got those puppies to a local shelter where they received medical attention.  They'll be spayed and neutered and then be put up for adoption.  How could anyone be so cruel?  rescued

Lynx

At a ski resort in Colorado, skiers were treated to a rare visit from a Lynx.  The cat just strolled past a crowd of people enjoying the slopes.  It was caught on video with onlookers thinking it was fake.  Officials say that it's a treat to see the wildlife but warn people to keep their distance. visitor

dead birds

A box containing canaries arrived at it's destination.  Unfortunately the box had tire marks on it and all of the birds were dead.  Imagine Rhonda King's shock when she was expecting live birds and found a box full of broken wings and other carnage.  Nothing can bring back the dead birds but the US Post Office did the next best thing and replaced Rhonda's birds.  I didn't even know that live birds were sent through the mail.  canaries

 

Twins born in different years

A set of twin boys were delivered ten minutes apart.  One in 2016 and the younger one in 2017.  New Years Eve is the only day when this can happen.  The boys were born in Glendale, AZ and their father joked that the older one would tease the younger one about being born in different years.  A set of girls was born four minutes apart in San Diego, CA and will also have different years on their birth certificates.  twins a year apart

Santa on Facebook

Santa was kicked off of Facebook...on Christmas Day.  Santa Claus lives in North Pole, Alaska, has a Facebook account, and is a member of the North Pole City Council.  He uses the account to interact with people and share "nice" quotes.  Someone reported him as having a fake account and Facebook forced him to prove his identity before getting his account back.  Scrooge and the Grinch must've been working overtime.  reinstated
