There's video of a police officer in Florida being scared by a small mouse.  He's seen in the video running from the creature and using his radio to contact someone.  Criminals beware!  There's a new mouse in town.  police chase

Swedish fish

Police in Sweden investigated a suspicious package that was abandoned in a railway station. After opening it, they discovered that it was actually a pile of stinky fish.  Perhaps an absent-minded fisherman forgot his catch of the day.  Too bad it wasn't the yummy gummy candy instead.  package

A couple in Florida were at home relaxing when they heard a crash in their backyard.  What they discovered was a catfish has fallen from the sky, crashed through their lanai, and landed in their pool.  The police were called to help get the large fish out of the pool.  It took a while to convince them that it was true.  It took about 10 minutes to remove the fish.  They suppose that a bird had scooped it out of a nearby lake and then dropped it when the bullhead stung it.  There were talon marks on the back of the fish but it was very much alive and was returned to a lake.  catfish in pool

M&M's cause fight

A man went into a store to buy a bag of Almond M&M's.  But when his card was declined, he went into a rage.  He attacked the two clerks and eventually left the store...without his candy.  That must be some yummy treat to make him go that wild.  candy rage

lockdowns

As staff at a local elementary school, we've been learning about lockdowns.  For reasons from a suspicious package or person all the way to an active shooter.  But we never covered a bear as the reason.  One school in California got that experience.  They were locked for a couple hours because a bear was wandering around the school grounds.  Fish and Wildlife officials had to be called.  wandering bear

birthday party

Nottinghamshire village in England held a birthday party...not for one of it's residents but for a pothole.  They are hoping to get the attention of their local government so that the pothole will finally by fixed.  They placed a birthday cake next to the hole and posted it to twitter.  2nd birthday

DUI arrest

It's bad when a person drinks and drives.  It's almost a certainty that they will be arrested for DUI.  But maybe a "Drunk Lives Matter" shirt isn't the best attire while doing it.  That just proves that the person is an idiot.  drunk lives matter
